On August 1, please join us for a preview of Rose D’Amato’s Art Wall commission at Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA). This is a special opportunity to connect with Rose and view the work in-progress at the museum before it opens to the public.

Headlands Alum and Tournesol Award Recipient (2023 – 2024) Rose D’Amato is a second-generation sign painter and pinstriper. Her Art Wall commission draws inspiration from the recently exposed 1920s Mission Chevrolet Service billboard –a historic hand-painted sign in San Francisco– to memorialize and celebrate this formerly hidden emblem of community and artistic labor. Learn more about the Art Wall here.

Space is limited; please rsvp to Kristina Graber, Headlands’ Development and Special Events Manager at kgraber@headlands.org. Attendees are welcome to bring a guest.
