Headlands Center for the Arts

Artist Statement

My focus is the examination of visual systems, their proliferation, and rupture in space and time. This is explored through a multi-layered painting practice that examines new thinking in site-responsive wall drawing, architectural collaboration, and conceptual abstract artworks. I work with geometric structures exploring how line, color, and structure in architectural space and on canvas informs new aesthetic understandings of space and time.

While at Headlands

While at Headlands I will be developing a new body of work shifting my interest in site from architecture to the local spaces. In particular, I will be reconsidering the use of visual systems, geometry, time, and colour to openly explore my interests in the natural environment.
