Artist Statement

My work often intersects with history and psychology, following thematic links and concerns. The final formats of my studio research are distributed as video, photography, objects, written material, sound, etc.

While at Headlands

I will continue work on my longterm project, SYNONYM, which traces my history with drug culture and rehabilitation. I will be processing various artifacts and narratives and building an installation open to the public in Project Space. Additionally, I am interested in spending time visiting sites and talking to people with connections to the group Synanon, which existed in and around San Francisco and the surrounding region.
