“Darkness casts its own form of light” – Mark Thomas Gibson
I am a chronicler of American history, placing significance on people and events we may otherwise forget. I archive colliding perspectives through the languages of drawing, painting, and printmaking revealing a vision of a satirical, dystopian America where every viewer is implicated as a potential character within the story.
While at Headlands
While at the Headlands I will be working on my third book centered around current American politics. The narrative is tied to actual world events which are retold through the main character, The Town Crier. The book will take the form of a graphic novel and my method of structuring this work vacillates between drawing and writing to achieve the finished piece. I am also working toward a solo exhibition in 2025 at the Berman Museum at Ursinus College. For this exhibition I will perform 4-6 large paintings. I also will be working toward my first full animation work for the exhibition at the Berman Museum.
