Artist Statement
In my work, I examine the overlapping relationship between natural and human-made environments and highlight patterns and systems of efficiency that exist within them. Through installation, drawing, and film, I re-evaluate the everyday spaces and objects that surround us, with added attention to elemental phenomena.
While at Headlands
I am fascinated by the history of Headlands and the natural beauty of the surrounding outdoors. While a Graduate Fellow, I hope to make site-specific installations using found objects on-site to explore the past, present, and hypothetical future of the space and its surroundings, and to make site-responsive work influenced by external elements such as the pre-existing light and air conditions.
