Come roam the various buildings of our campus, engage with Artists in their studios, experience new work and works in progress, see performances, hear readings, and stay for a homemade lunch in the Mess Hall.

Erin Wilson’s (AFF ’13-’14) poems use traditional librarian tools like annotated bibliographies and indexes as disruptions revealing the collaboration and subjectivity necessary for the creation of texts.

3 x 10 – Three Headlands writers each give 10-minute readings.

Cecilia Ballí (AIR ’14) is a writer from Texas most known for her long-form journalism abut the U.S.-Mexico border.
Hazel White (AFF ’14) is a poet; her current project is about Battery 129 and is taking place on Facebook.
Sarah Wisby (AIR ’14) states: “I am an exceptional person, possibly a saint or a genius, but probably neither, marred by bad habits and nearing middle age, and quite poor compared to my millionaire neighbors.”

Claire Tancons (AIR ’14) combines investigative research and writing with experimental curatorial practice to engage with notions of the civic and ideas of the commons in public ceremonial culture.

Mardith Louisell (AIR ’93, AFF ’96, AFF ’14) writes personal essays as well as short stories with funny but obsessive narrators coping with the minutiae and chaos of daily urban life.
Joel Tomfohr’s (AFF ’14) creative work attempts to connect disparate events, to complicate them and to make meaning out of them without turning away and without judgement.
