Diebenkorn Fellowship Lecture: Katharine Kuharic
Every other year, Headlands partners with the San Francisco Art Institute to offer the Richard Diebenkorn Teaching Fellowship. The Fellowship generously provides the opportunity for artists to teach at SFAI while having the time and financial support to develop creative new work at Headlands through a fully sponsored residency. The current Fellow, New York–based artist Katharine Kuharic, discusses work including her current monumental project What Women Lost, which includes painting, performance, and video.
Co-presented with the San Francisco Art Institute as part of their Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series, a free forum for direct engagement and dialogue with major figures in international contemporary art and culture. The lecture is held in the San Francisco Art Institute Lecture Hall: 800 Chestnut Street, San Francisco.
