Peter Burr: Labyrinths
Peter Burr: Labyrinths
Co-presented with San Francisco Cinematheque
The digital video works of Peter Burr present infinitely sprawling landscapes and environments vacillating between abstraction and figuration, describing dystopian narratives of endless questing. Recent work explores the video game trope of the endlessly mutating, self-constructing labyrinth. A Headlands Artist in Residence this spring, Burr appears in person to talk about his process, presenting a retrospective of works from 2012 to 2017, including a preview of his latest immersive environmental video, Dirtscraper.
This event is co-presented with San Francisco Cinematheque and takes place at Artists’ Television Access, located at 992 Valencia Street in San Francisco. Buy tickets
