With a background in printmaking and community art, much of Christine Wong Yap's work focuses on the depiction of social narratives, seeking to embody the disparate poles of optimism and skepticism. Her work aims to explore the theoretical and emotional groundwork for these categories of human perception. She has explored printmaking, photography, paper cut installation, works on paper, and sculpture. Her work was included in the exhibition, Beats Per Minute (2007) at the Museum of Craft & Folk Art, San Francisco, curated by Julio Cesar Morales. She holds an MFA and BFA from California College of the Arts, San Francisco.
