A former student of Elmer Bischoff and Joan Brown at UC Berkeley, Wilson is both a writer and a painter. She makes abstract paintings using large expressive blocks of bright colors, which, in their intentionally imperfect shapes, communicate subtle differences in tone and mood. In 2009, her paintings were shown at the 2nd Floor Projects, San Francisco, and in 2005 they were included in the show Chlorine at the Marjorie Wood Gallery. She has been a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, and at the San Francisco Art Institute. She holds an MFA and a BA from UC Berkeley.
