Julie Kahn creates interdisciplinary works that rely heavily on the inherent connections between community, land and the food chain. Her projects cross boundaries between visual art, performance, social engineering and mass marketing. For her work, "Got Milk?" installed at Dorsch Gallery in Miami (2001), she staged a cereal tasting at the gallery and interviewed gallery visitors about childhood breakfast table memories. Her work is designed to entice audience interaction and nurture community through participatory events. She received her BA and MBA from Harvard University.
