Eric Hongisto produces work that is grounded in the conventions of pictorial landscape painting, but diverges from conventional landscape traditions to create abstract installations in which he fabricates large colorful spaces that function as theaters. Hongisto received his MFA from Yale University School of Art and his BFA from Maine College of Art. He also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting.
