Headlands Center for the Arts is located in Fort Barry in the Marin Headlands. Our street address is 944 Simmonds Road, Sausalito, CA.

From the North
Highway 101 South to the last Sausalito exit right before the Golden Gate Bridge (you will see a brown sign on your right that says "GOLDEN GATE NATL REC AREA NEXT EXIT"). Turn right toward Sausalito at the stop sign. Take first left turn to one-way tunnel. Follow Bunker Road for 2 miles. Fork left onto Field Road. Take the first left onto Bodsworth Road and another left onto Simmonds Road. Headlands Center for the Arts, Building 944 is the second building on the left.

From the South
Highway 101 North to Alexander Avenue exit, just after the Golden Gate Bridge. Bear right, toward Sausalito. Take first left turn to the one-way tunnel. Follow Bunker Road for 2 miles. Fork left onto Field Road. Take the first left onto Bodsworth Road and another left onto Simmonds Road. Headlands Center for the Arts, Building 944 is the second building on the left.

By Bicycle
A bike ride from San Francisco to Headlands Center for the Arts is one of the best and most beautiful routes to reach us! If you're not up for the full bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, you can also take your bike on the Sausalito Ferry or on the bus using Golden Gate Transit.

By Bus
The MUNI 76 bus runs between San Francisco and Headlands on Sundays and holidays.
